I am a tender Christian
I wonder how God created the world, though I don't doubt He did it
I hear the thundering of a waterfall
I see the foam of the water crashing over the rocks
I want to cleanse myself in the tumbling water
I am a tender Christian.

I pretend to be a princess, waiting for her knight in shining armor
I feel a need to be loved and adored
I touch the soft fur of the purring friend beside me
I worry that my timing is not the Lord's timing
I cry because the Lord's timing is not my timing, and I miss my Dad
I am a tender Christian.

I understand that Jesus loves me
I say I'm going to Heaven someday
I dream of being reunited with all those I love
I try to share my faith with others
I hope the Rapture comes soon
